‘What are you doing there all the time, when you are spending the whole winter In El Salvador and Mexico?’; asks my Dutch friend curious, nipping of her barista cappuccino.
‘Well’; I say. ‘I sleep in, drink coffee, go for a surf as long as I want to. Later on I eat a healthy, fresh lunch. In the afternoon I do my breathing- and meditationexercises and crawl in my hammock. I go watch the sunset and eat with friends. Than off to bed again to sleep in, to sleep in as long as I feel like. I have a full life.’
’’But if you are going to work hard in Holland for some time, you can invest in your own company!’ shouts my Dutch friend excited.
‘But why would I do this?’
‘If you earn enough money, at one point you will have nothing to do with banks and other investors anymore.’
‘Okay. How long will that take, do you think?’
‘Maybe ten, twenty years maximum.’
‘Pfff. And after?’
‘Now it is getting really interesting.’ says my friend with a hug smile. ‘Because than you can invest in houses to rent out and become a rich lady’.
‘Really? Me, rich? And than?’
‘Than you retire, go live in a little village somewhere at the coast, sleep in, drink coffee and surf as long as you want to. Later on the day you will eat a healthy, fresh lunch. In the afternoon you meditate and crawl in your hammock. You will go watch the sunset and eat with friends. Than off to bed again to sleep in, to sleep in as long as you feel like!’
‘But, I think I already…well euh, you know…I already have this.’
